I just want to start out by saying "thank you"  all for the wonderful comments...and when I see Ric tomorrow I will update him.  I do everyday "hope" for a miracle...or just wake up from this terrible night mare.

I am happy to report that Ric is doing well! The nurses removed his bandages from his surgery site today...everything looks really good.  The incision was made over the existing one...just brought slightly more forward on the forehead.  I am encouraging Ric to move a bit more...today was a bit tricky however, he just wanted to watch football.  Oh well, I guess that was okay!  I did happen to get him out for a bit of a walk around the unit...then I wheeled him around to find some candy...he is really enjoying food lately, have I mentioned that?!?

I am very proud of Ric...he continues to be strong, and he continually reminds me that he is going to "beat this".  I will continue to stand behind my wonderful husband, and do everything in my power to help him achieve this.  We all have to have hope...and we must not ever forget that!

We are going to see if Ric will be released tomorrow...as I am sure he has a "Ric's Pic" up his sleeve.

Tracy, you guys are constantly in my thoughts. It saddens me to hear what has developed, but Ric has proven himself to be strong. I know he'll do his best and not give up. He has so much in his life to be thankful for. Love you guys :)

Tracy and Ric, I am so glad to hear that you both are fighting strong. Your whole family is in our thoughts and prayers. Hope Ric gets home today as I'm sure being around you and the girls is the best healing power.
Love Sheila

I think of your family often and I appreciate the entries you make on this blog. You're such an incredibly strong family, so full of hope and optimism. I know the last couple days have been really hard and I want you to know that you're in our prayers. We pray for all the best for you and that the doctors will be guided in their treatment for Ric.

Tracy, please pass on to Ric that he's in my thoughts. Every time you post on his progress I can't believe it's the same boy I grew up with. I'm praying for his recovery. Let him know I'm thinking of him.
