Well we started week number 2. Ric felt very good all day today. He had energy to do some exercise this morning. He had a good breakfast, took his chemo pills, then off to radiation. He then had his blood work done(which will happen every Monday). Then he walked over to the park to meet us(my sister and her man and daughter were in town visiting), and had a bite to eat. He is really trying to keep something on his tummy, so he does not get nauseated. We then came home made some supper and Ric was actually able to sit and eat a meal, which has been a bit uncommon during the last week. Ric generally feels less like eating and nauseated in the evenings, but not today. I hope this holds up...I do like seeing him able to eat in the evening as well as throughout the day.

Hi guys. Melinda and I just read your blog posts (we're in the UK at the moment back in TO tomorrow). There aren't really any words that we can say that can accurately convey the shock of this news. All we can say is that we are so, so sorry and are hoping for the best. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help. Call anytime (416) 363-8286.
Ric, keep up the fight and hang in there. Its tough (I've watched my mom go through treatment for breast cancer over the past year) but you can do it. Fortunately you have the best team in the world with you - Trace and the girls. All the best and we'll be in touch.
Very best wishes
Chris and Melinda
Hey Ric and family! Ric, your mom was chatting with my mom and she gave me the news. Honestly, I'm really at a loss for words. Just know that I think about you often and I've been thinking about how great it was growing up with you. You're a strong man and you will beat this. I'll be following along in your journey - such a good idea starting a blog. Take care buddy!!!!

Hi Ric and Tracey,
Darryn shared this blog on FB, so now I have it bookmarked. It's a wonderful way to keep everyone in the loop.
Glad that you got through the first week and that you are taking one day at a time.
Hope that his appetite increases in the evening, but you might have to have your big meal at noon hour...and then everyone have a light supper...we grew up this way.....cause my dad came home for lunch..I am sure that you will work something out.
Hugs and love from Regina
